Secret Police of the Rebellion

March 2011; The president Assad's secret police is what stuck fear in civilians forcing them to take to the streets in violent protest sparking an uprising that later became the Syrian Civil War.
Today rebels fighting Assad have formed their own secret police force of their own "to protect the revolution", monitor military locations and gathering crucial information to help organize attacks. "We formally formed the unit in November. It provides all kind of information to politicians and fighters. We are independent and just serve the revolution." said a rebel intelligence officer who goes under the name Haji. Haji stated that most of their operatives were former military and intelligence officers.
